  1. I came across the Hooked title by Nir Eyal last year while looking into adoption practices of teachers using technology. The book has a very obvious commercial focus as it acts as a bit of a ‘how to’guide for budding tech entrepreneurs but it contains a wealth of experience by the author on how habits are formed and how one could potentially create them for your self and in your work.

As adoption is a huge issue in learning tech in my corner of the world I found a lot of the stories resonated quite well and I potentially have some ways that I could re-purpose some of the techniques for ed tech application.

Furthermore , and perhaps applicable to our MOOC focus, there could be a couple of lessons there for OER developers to increase completion rates and community participation.
