I have left a detailed response to one of Daniels ethnography posts relating to the assessment of his own performance and the video of him performing the steps he has been practicing.It reminded me a lot of a YouTube star that emerged some years back who sprung from a real backwater town in South Africa to become an international drumming teacher sensation – Cobus Potgeiter. And the best part is he cant read a single note of music! This was all in the days before MOOC’s even existed so there was some nostalgic references to the days when a viral video was a still a novel way to learn.
