  1. As our intriguing, dual fascination and revulsion of technology keeps rumbling forward into the future our reliance on automation is going to increase regardless of how we feel about it.

    Its seems, as humans, we cant seem to stop ourselves from wanting to transform our societies regardless of the portents or potential pitfalls that come with doing it, if only to reap some other, minor (and increasingly commercial or selfish) benefit.

    As the alogarithms become ever more capable and intrusive we simply have to ensure we develop the safeguards, such as the ones described in this story, to keep watch against the elements in the alogarithm that may end up hiding or obfuscating the truth of our realities (even if, and most likely, only unintentionally)
