A freighted question here from James, which provoked all kinds of responses. In mine, I’m trying to contextualise (and strategise) ‘categorising’. Hard to do within a Tweet, but seeking to highlight the non-neutrality of any response to big data. Even, perhaps, that it might cast on us responsibilities of care, although I suggest that cautiously, not knowing the degree to which the data will be incontrovertible or contested.
